DIRECTIONS FOR “MY SPIDER BOOK”

1. Starting on the printed side of the paper, fold the top half of the page under on the horizontal dotted line.
   
   
2. Now fold the page in half again on the vertical dotted line. The pages are numbered; page 1 should be the first page of the book.
   
   
3. On page 1, color the spider. You can point out the features on the spider.
   
   
4. On page 2, draw 8 legs on the spider. Practice counting.
   
   
5. On page 3, draw lots of bugs. Be sure to count how many when done.
   
   
6. On page 4, finish the web. Connect the dots at the end of each line, then continue to fill in the web in a spiral pattern. This is a good chance to discuss what a spiral is.
